Anne Cunningham, Chief Executive

Email: annecunningham@the-arthouse.org.uk

Anne joined The Art House in March 2010 after spending most of the last decade working for the Lighthouse, Scotland’s Centre for Architecture, Design and the City. There she managed multi-stakeholder programmes to develop creative stakeholder and artist engagement in hospitals, schools and spaces across Scotland. Her programmes had a direct influence on Scottish Government’s Policy and she went on to work as far afield as Mexico, Finland, Poland and London- and receive a citation from UNESCO and the OECD.

Prior to the Lighthouse, she worked for Sheffield Galleries and Museums Trust and has undertaken consultancy for a wide range of clients- including The Childrens’ Parliament, National Galleries of Scotland, Stills Gallery, Talbot Rice Gallery and CABE. She was also on the executive committee of Voluntary Arts Scotland and a Trustee of HOT, Edinburgh.

Anne has a degree in History of Art and a postgraduate in Museums and Galleries in Education, from Edinburgh University and University of London. She enjoys long distance cycling (especially up hill!) and anything that involves getting wet.

Lisa Noyce, Administrator

Email: info@the-arthouse.org.uk

Lisa is originally from Wales and came to Yorkshire as a student in 1994. She obtained a BA Hons Degree in Contemporary Dance from the University of Leeds (Bretton Hall Campus) in 1997 and continues to maintain a general interest in Dance.

Elinor Unwin, Project Manager - Artists in Wakefield

Email: elinor@the-arthouse.org.uk

Elinor joined the Art House in January 2011. Prior to this she was Studio Development Manager for Westgate Studios, Wakefield. Here she led the day-to-day management of the organisation, including internal and external communications, strategic development, partnership building, and stakeholder management, before sadly taking the organisation into administration. Her background is in Research, Audience Development & Marketing, which has developed through roles in Film London’s Audience Development Team, where she focused on assessing and managing National Lottery grants linked to film exhibition and education; and ABL Consulting, a management consultancy firm working solely with Arts and Heritage clients. Elinor has an MA (Hons) in Business Studies, University of Edinburgh and a MRS Certificate in Social & Market Research.

Elinor is known amongst her friends as the one who can’t control herself from dancing whenever she hears music (even when out shopping), the sporty one who seems to have been given the gift of being super coordinated, and a bit of a film nerd. She’s also great at eating (hence the need for a lot of physical activity) and can consume her dinner at twice the speed of most other people.

Laura Slater, Print Technician

Email: printstudio@the-arthouse.org.uk

Laura joined the Art House as print technician in 2010 alongside this role Laura runs her own bespoke printed textile design company, and she also works as lecturer in Surface Design at the University of Bolton and as a creative practitioner at The Hepworth Wakefield.

Laura has an MA in Mixed Media Textiles from The Royal College of Art. Her practice is informed by the interaction of colour pattern and the translation of drawing and printmaking concepts onto cloth. Laura works closely in collaboration with others in translating her printed designs into bespoke interior products.

When not elbow deep in printing ink, Laura is usually ‘the one wearing all the pattern’ and can be frequently found fettling and rummaging around at car boot sales satisfying her need to collect.
