Mentoring

The Space for 10 mentoring programme is a major part of the project and aims to address professional and practice-based issues in an open and supportive environment. Artists, writers, academics and curators working with Space for 10 artists so far include Sonia Boyce, Guy Brett, Helen Cadwallader, Michelle Cotton, Marian Coutts, Steve Dutton, Paul Harrison & John Wood, Duncan Higgins, Kerenza Hines, Andrew Hunt, Zoe Irvine, Colm Lally, Axel Lapp, Esther Leslie, Jeremy Millar, John Newling, Hayley Newman, Nina Pope, Bea de Souza, William Rose, Claudia Wegener, Andrew Wheatley and Val Williams.

Professional Development

Space for 10 professional development activities aim to address issues for artists working at this level and also broaden the artists’ network of professional contacts. Content for these seminars is selected by the artists, project staff and host venues. Contributors to these events have so far included Miles Thurlow and Paul Moss from Workplace Gallerywww.workplacegallery.co.uk) and Alexia Holt from Cove Park (www.covepark.org).
