S10 Residencies
Juneau Projects (Phil Duckworth and Ben Sadler) at The New Art Gallery Walsall in March & April 2008. During their residency Phil and Ben worked on developing their existing project ‘Juneau Records’, a collaborative, participatory project. They operated a drop-in recording studio where visitors had the opportunity to write and record songs with the artists, resulting in new releases for Juneau Records.
Torsten Lauschmann was in residence at Spike Island and Arnolfini in Bristol in March Torsten works in a variety of media including video projection, animation, photography, sculpture and performance and he has also worked in the print workshop at Spike Island during his residency. As a result of his Space for 10 residency, Torsten had a solo show at Arnolfini from 12 April – 15 June 2008. http://www.spikeisland.org.uk/index.html

Rebecca Fortnum completed her residency at London Print Studio in April where she learnt and developed etching techniques. She showed some of her new print works, along with painting and text works in Life’s A Gas at Beverley Knowles Fine Art in London. http://www.beverleyknowles.com/exhibitions/exhibition.php?id=10
Paul Housley has completed his residency at London Print Studio where he has been learning and developing etching skills and is currently working on a new body of work using screenprinting techniques.
Alma Tischler Wood has completed her residency at Chinese Arts Centre in Manchester and developed a number of painting and new video works during her time there. One of Alma’s new pieces Pumpkin Soup, was shown on the Big Screen in Exchange Square in Manchester during December 2007.

During April 2008, Bob Levene was in residence at Yorkshire Sculpture Park,
Bettina Furnée and Kyp Kyprianou were both at Kettle’s Yard in Cambridge.
The Caravan Gallery (Jan Williams and Chris Teasdale) at the Northern Gallery for Contemporary in Sunderland.
Andrew Sneddon will began his residency at Yorkshire Sculpture Park in June 2008.
