Printmaking Studio

Our fully accessible  printmaking studio has a 140 x 180cm motor driven etching press and is equipped for a range of ‘safe’ intaglio and relief processes. The facilities available make it particularly suitable for use by experienced printmakers, either for editioning or for running masterclasses.

Print Courses and Open Access

Taught Courses: Introduction to printmaking at The Art House

An introduction to the full range of techniques practised at The Art House, which also acts in lieu of induction and studio practice, allowing participants to become members of the Open Access Workshop on completion and payment of the appropriate annual fee.

Courses will be taught by Sammy Palfrey with technician support

Open Access Workshop: Thursday's 2 – 9 pm  £1.25 per hour

To become a member of the Open Access workshop, printmakers will be required to have attended an Introduction to Printmaking course OR an induction session/session and to pay the appropriate annual Open Access workshop membership fee.

With technician support
Members of the Open Access workshop need also to be members of The Art House.

Induction sessions: One hour intensive session £35.00

Experienced printmakers who wish to use the Open Access workshop will be required to undertake induction training to familiarise them with TAH studios.

 These will be run  as small group sessions at times to be agreed, as and when there are sufficient people interested.
