WORKSHOP An introduction to Drypoint with Teddi Coutts

27.06.2015 to 27.06.2015

10am - 4pm

Drypoint is an etching process without chemicals, carving directly into the printing plate. This traditional process allows freedom to produce prints that resemble hand-drawn sketches. Participants will learn about the process, how to use tools safely, how to prepare a drypoint plate, how to prepare and use inks and mark-making using basic needles.

Teddi Coutts is a Printmaker, specialising in working with mixed media, drypoint and photography to create prints and paintings that reflect and interpret the patterns and textures of the landscape.

All materials will be provided.

This workshop is part one of two. The second workshop - Second Steps Drypoint - will take place on Sat 4 July. It is not required that you book on to part two, but to find out more click HERE
