Experience the Artwalk at The Art House on Wednesday 25 July, 17:00-21:00!

 

Discover new work from Artist in Residence (July), Mitra Saboury, alongside installations from several of other artists, including our members and studio holders. 

 

Exhibitions are free to attend and all are welcome.

 


 

Mitra Saboury: Residency Exhibition

Mitra will be living and working at The Art House throughout July 2018. Her residency will conclude with an exhibition of work created during her time in Wakefield.

Rosanne Robertson: ReModel

- Collaborator Space

ReModel is an exhibition by artist Rosanne Robertson following a research and development project exploring the idea of power at the margins. A central focus is a personal project exploring gender non-conformity, mental health and societal structures - producing a new body of assembled sculpture and drawings works.

Join artist Chris O'Leary as she shows and discusses new work being produced for her project Mythistoria: An Archeology of Shadows.
 

Jason Wilsher-Mills: 1995 Disability Discrimination Act

- Foyer

An opportunity to see touring work by digital artist and painter Jason Wilsher-Mills, on display at The Art House. The artist presents a commemorative banner to the 1995 Disability Discrimination Act, using humour and snapshots from his life to celebrate the changes for the better and signal the changes still needed.

 

 

The 1995 DDA Banner was commissioned by the House of Commons and is kindly on loan from Shape Arts to The Art House, Wakefield.
